Terms of Service
By accessing or using Shut Up and Play at shutupandplay.games (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep login details confidential. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the Service or other users.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting on the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Service. That includes using your posts in promotional or marketing materials (for example, social posts, site banners, or press). Whenever we use your content that way in identifiable form, we will credit you (for example, by your display name or handle as shown on the Service), unless we are legally unable to do so or the use is minimal aggregation where attribution is impractical.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or others’ rights.
- Harass, threaten, or defraud others, or post unlawful, hateful, or clearly infringing content.
- Attempt to break, scrape, or overload the Service, or bypass security or access controls.
- Upload malware or misuse the platform for spam or deceptive practices.
Moderation
We may remove or restrict content or accounts to protect users, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of the Service. We are not obligated to host any particular content.
For what we remove, how appeals work, and community expectations in plain language, see our Content and Moderation Guidelines.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” Recommendations and posts are users’ opinions, not professional advice. We do not endorse every statement on the site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of fifty dollars (USD $50) or the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (if any).
Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where allowed by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that courts in Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
